The Wakefest Arts Festival:
The Wakefest festival is held in Kelowna and is an all arts festival consisting of local artists, performers and creators. The festival is usually in August and includes all kinds of art, like theatre, literature, dance, and performances. The workshops vary every year, but past events have included how-to-mime and singing-based workshops. If you’re considering attending Wakefest, there are several great Kelowna hotels in which you can stay, as well as some smaller beds and breakfasts if you prefer.
The Canadian National Exhibition:
This annual event, sometimes referred to as the EX, is one of the largest festivals/events in the country and attracts almost 1.5 million visitors every year. The event takes place at Exhibition Place in Ontario, Canada, from August 16 – September 2. It also does exhibits, concerts, shows, rides, food, and parades. For many Toronto residents, the National Exhibition has become a family tradition. Younger children will love to see the farm animals and horses at the working farm.
